Cliff Jones was a fast, fearless Welsh winger and a key member of the Tottenham Hotspur side that completed the League and FA Cup double in 1961, the first of the twentieth century. Brave in the air despite his slight frame and thrilling in full flight, he tormented full-backs throughout a glittering spell at White Hart Lane.
A mainstay of the Wales national team, he was among the most exciting attacking players in British football during his prime.
