Giorgio Chinaglia was a powerful, combustible centre-forward who became a hero at Lazio, spearheading the attack that won the club its first Serie A title in the early 1970s. Strong in the air and relentless in front of goal, he thrived on the roughhouse of Italian football.

He later crossed the Atlantic to become a star of the New York Cosmos in the North American Soccer League, scoring prolifically alongside some of the game’s biggest names.
