Hugo Gatti was a flamboyant and eccentric Argentine goalkeeper whose showmanship earned him the nickname of the madman. Prone to leaving his line and dribbling past forwards, he brought theatre to the position across a long career, most famously at Boca Juniors.

For all the flair, he was a fine shot-stopper and a fixture in Argentine football over an unusually lengthy career, an unforgettable character of his era.
