Vítor Baía was a charismatic, agile goalkeeper who became a symbol of FC Porto across two spells, winning a vast collection of trophies. Between them he spent time at Barcelona, but it was in Portugal that he flourished.
The high point came in 2004, when he kept goal as Porto conquered Europe under José Mourinho. A long-serving Portugal international, he is remembered as one of the club’s greatest ever players.
