Karl-Heinz Riedle was a German striker whose greatest nights came in the biggest matches. A strong, aerially dominant forward, he starred for Borussia Dortmund and scored twice in the 1997 Champions League final to help defeat Juventus.

A World Cup winner with West Germany in 1990, he also enjoyed success in Italy and later in England, and remains fondly remembered at Dortmund for his decisive contributions.
